About the event
National Youth Conference on Climate Change (NYCCC) is a flagship program of Nepalese Youth for Climate Action (NYCA). Six editions of the conference has been organized from 2008 to 2018. The last edition i.e. the 6th NYCCC, was organized in Biratnagar in December, 2018.
The aim of the four days program in November 2020 is to bring diverse groups of youths from all over Nepal and enhance their understanding of Climate Change and Sustainable Development Goals. The participants will take part in active discussions in these issues in the context of Nepal and be sensitized about the responsibilities of youths for Climate Action. As Nepal is also preparing it’s Second Nationally determined contributions (NDCs) and National Adaptation Plans (NAP), NYCA wants youths from all over the nation to know about NDC, NAP, and their roles in its preparation and effective implementation.
This year, due to the pandemic, the conference would be organized virtually. It is scheduled between November 6 to 9 (10 AM to 12 PM and 2 to 4 PM of each day).
